    Abstract
    Six species of chitons are here recognized at Cocos Island, Costa <br /><br />Rica, including two new species, an Ischnochiton and an Acanthochitona. The <br /><br />reported presence on the island of Chiton goodallii and Acanthochitona hirudi- <br /><br />niformis has not been corroborated.
