dc.description.abstractThis Phaloniid moth was first described by the writer as a subspecies of Carolella busckana Comst., from material taken at Chuckawalla Springs, Riverside Co., Calif., by George Willett. <br /><br />At that time, nothing was known of the early stages, but we have since observed these, and on the basis of the very distinctive gall, and different foodplant, now consider it a distinct species.
