Abstract
The Gerken Fellowship allowed me to have funds to travel to London to research contemporary Anglo-American Foreign Policy & Iraq. I did library work in the archives at the International Institute for Strategic Studies for several days, met scholars from the Royal United Service Institute and School of Oriental & African Studies, and attended a symposium on weapons of mass destruction and human rights violations in Iraq. The opportunity to travel allowed me to continue my research on the upper Persian Gulf and its politics, especially vis-a-vis current policies and implications for military action against Iraq by an Anglo-American alliance.
