Faking on Personality Tests: A Meta-Analytic Review

Over the past century, a considerable amount of empirical research assessing the ability and likelihood of applicants to fake responses on personality tests has been conducted. The present meta-analytic review examines applicant faking studies published within the past twenty years. It is aimed at summarizing inconsistent research results and identifying potential variables which moderate one?s motivation to fake, including perceptions of rewards and consequences.
