    Abstract
    Two new species of Euschoengastia are described: E. hardyorum n. sp., off Dipodomys microps from Death Valley National Monument, 4 mi E Wildrose Ranger Station, Inyo Co, California, and E. marginalis n. sp., off Neotoma lepida from Lower Covington Flat in Joshua Tree National Monument, Riverside Co, California. Included is information on host-chigger relationships, ecology, seasonal occurrence, and distribution of both species.
