Discovery of the male of the katydid Idiostatus viridis Rentz, with descriptions and biological notes (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Decticinae) by Charles L. Hogue, Bull. Southern California Acad. Sci., 79(1): 1-5, 1980. The male of Idiostatus viridis, hitherto unknown only for this species in the genus, has been discovered. Two specimens from the type locality are now available and serve as the basis for description. Color photographs of the live female also permit redescription of this sex. Some biological notes are made on the basis of the author's collecting experiences.
