Political and Social Mobility of Womenin Trinidad and Tobago, W.I.
I studied the work of non-governmental organizations in the twin island country of Trinidad and Tobago to observe the work done to improve the political and social advancement of women. Research was conducted by data collection and interviews with female politicians and ngo organizers. Key issues included domestic violence awareness, political participation of women, and equal opportunities legislation. Personal experiences and cultural immersion were also unexpected yet invaluable aspects of my research.
